Isn't it great that it's still light in the evening? These shots were taken pretty late but I still have the natural light..brilliant. I absolutely love this Zara shirt and I cannot describe to you how soft and light it is (ideal for summer evenings). They have it in a bright coral too which is next on my list, I think both look great with gold jewelry and I was tempted to wear my Zara leather sporty shorts but it isn't really that warm yet (fingers crossed). The clutch and boots smarten up an otherwise quite casual outfit which I love.

& Other Stories haul

I made my first order on the website of & Other Stories (btw love the name) the other week. Being a sister store to H&M and Monki I knew I would love it. Clothing-wise it's slightly more simple and sophisticated and I am yet to purchase any clothes but I know I will. For the moment though I thought I would try out some of their beauty bits. The contour cream that is all over youtube had to be added to my basket. It does look really scary but used in the right way with the right tools it can be amazing because it honestly does just act as a shadow. I needed an all over lid colour for everyday looks so I thought I'd pick up the 'Stockinette Nude' shadow which is perfect. The body scrub and body souffle were bought out of sheer curiosity. I just needed to smell them and I wasn't disappointed. Finally my favourite of the bunch (and you can see it in my previous post too) the 'purse'. Well, I use it as a makeup bag as that works much better for me but I just love the print. I know they do a few things in the same tropical print and I may have to add to my collection..

What's in my bag?

Rather a long time ago I did a 'what's in my bag' post on my blog (here it is) though I must say it's very outdated. However, the odd thing hasn't changed at all like my trusty purse from Urban Outfitters I've had it for about 6 years now (maybe more) which I can't believe considering I've left it in random bars before now but somehow it always comes back to me. I refuse to get a new one until this ones breaks because I have become quite attached! My iPod is the same (probably different music) and that's about it. I have also converted from Blackberry to iPhone in the space between the two which is the best move I ever made! My bag is from H&M, I love this bag so much its just the perfect city daytime bag for packing in all your bits and bobs. 

On to the content!

As I mentioned my purse is from Urban Outfitters (ancient) and my coin purse is Mischa Barton via Asos.

Got to love my &otherstories makeup bag which you can buy here. So cheap and cheerful and I'm loving tropical prints right now! I carry the bare minimum when it comes to makeup so a lipstick (this one's Coy by Topshop - a lovely peachy everyday shade), concealer ( I love the Bobbi Brown touch up stick) and maybe a powder. Neals yard hand cream and a 10ml travel size Elie Saab perfume is a must too! 

Topshop sunglasses and case for those rare spots of sunshine and Cath Kidston keyrings. 

Finally my refreshments, normally just water but this time an Itsu ice tea  (a brand I love - such fresh healthy food and drink) and tic tacs complete the bag - there are also a number of tic tacs on the floor of my bag - oops..

The Cult Product: REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

It's no wonder REN's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is a cult beauty product adored by beauty vloggers/bloggers, notably ViviannaDoesMakeup, Essie Button and Ruth from A Model Recommends it seems to be a must-have product (so therefore I must have it, non?). I think you saw it coming but here goes..I love it (now wasn't that a surprise?)! It really is worth all the hype the beauty world has given it. 

Now I should tell you a bit about my skin and my skincare regime. I have normal/combination skin and the truth is I'm very low maintenance when it comes to skincare. As much as I wish I could be bothered to do a full 5 step regime twice daily, alas I cannot. I cleanse and I moisturise..badabing badaboom! I did go through a short phase of trying all the serums, exfoliants, toners, masks (the lot) but my skin didn't thank me for the big bucks I'd spent so I decided to keep it clean and just lay of the masses of skincare (saving me a penny or two on the way). Right now I use the Liz Earle cleanse and polish and the Good Things miracle moisturiser. These are a perfect combination for my skin, no harsh ingredients and all very natural (and affordable). 

I was, however, missing something. Sometimes the miserable English weather (tedious, I know) can translate onto my skin and I knew I needed an instant 'pick me up'. As I had a half an hour wait for my train I thought why not take a trip into Space NK (never a good move). The lovely lady explained the idea of it to me and the effects it has, so with my £5 off on my Space NK card I nabbed it at a reasonable £25. 

 With my low maintenance approach I can deal with the weekly application. It has a fruity smell and as Vivianna (of ViviannaDoesMakeup) noted it is a little like marmalade but being a big fan of marmalade on my toast I have no problems with that..except its not going on toast its being smothered onto my face.. You get an odd tingly sensation a few minutes through which just tells me its working.

The science behind it: The mask has an ingredient called lactic acid which (now don't be put off) supposedly derives from sour milk. The acid is an exfoliant meaning the dead skin cells are removed allowing collagen growth evening out the skins complexion whilst giving it a radiance.

Having used it a good few times I can safely say it is a holy grail product. If like me you were uhmming and ahhing about this REN mask I would definitely say give it a go, the effects are instantaneous and glowing.

The Plain White Tee

I love to keep it casual when I can (hence the grubby sneakers, apologies) and plain t shirts whether white, grey or black tucked into jeans is a staple for me. To add some colour and interest I wore my Urban Outfitters shawl/mexican poncho and my red Frassy arty ring. This is definitely my kick back at the weekend kind of look and so comfy. It has definitely started to get warmer so I dont need to pile on as many layers as humanly possible to not get cold anymore (yay!). As much as I feel I need to start wearing a more summery bag I can't tear myself away from the H&M enormous 'city' bag, its just perfect for throwing all my crap in (updated 'what's in my bag' to come).

Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter

As far as lip care goes basic Vaseline is my 'go to' but it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. Sometimes a little hint of lip colour is what I need to brighten up the entire face. This one by Korres looks somewhat scary in the pot but I assure you (and you can see by the bottom picture) it just comes up a mellow 'your lips but better' colour. The smell is a beautiful rose scent and an absolute delight to apply. Apart from that it hydrates the lips like nobodies business, keeping them nourished for a good few hours before I reapply. This would be down to the Shea butter and Rice wax a brilliant combo for ultimate softness and moisturisation. These retail at £8 which is more than good ol' Vaseline but they have an unbeatable softness and a brilliant colour collection. I got mine at Waitrose but you can purchase online at Asos and Feel Unique. I have to try out more of the colour range!

The Black Panther Tee

  I'm back with a fashion post (could you guess?) and its once again 'wild cat' themed (if you're confused here is my previous cat themed post). Its clear I have a penchant for all things wild cat, walking into Zara this season is like walking into a dream where wild cats have taken over (a good dream of course). This tee, however, was an Asos buy a long while back but it has crept its way back into my staple wears for obvious reasons. The hoops and gold chain harden the outfit (I refrain from saying edgy) whilst the jacket and bag give a smarter vibe. I wore this with boots, though I would equally wear it with my black BDG sneakers because I'm all about the comfort. Please note I would like to apologise for my extremely vacant expressions in these photos, editing this post made me want to punch the screen.
